Optrex Bacterial Conjunctivitis Eye Ointment

Description

Optrex Bacterial Conjunctivitis Eye Ointment is a trusted and clinically-proven treatment for bacterial conjunctivitis, commonly known as "pink eye." This contagious eye condition occurs when the conjunctiva, the thin and transparent membrane covering the white part of the eye, becomes infected by bacteria. It can lead to symptoms such as redness, itching, discharge, and discomfort.

This ointment is formulated with an active ingredient, Chloramphenicol, which is an antibiotic effective against a wide range of bacteria. Optrex Bacterial Conjunctivitis Eye Ointment is designed to target the underlying bacterial infection, helping to clear the infection and relieve symptoms.

Directions

Wash Hands: Begin by thoroughly washing your hands with soap and water to prevent the spread of infection.
Tilt Head Back: Gently tilt your head backward, or lie down with your head tilted backward if preferred.

Pull Down Lower Eyelid: Using a clean finger, gently pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket.

Apply Ointment: Hold the tube of Optrex Bacterial Conjunctivitis Eye Ointment close to your eye and squeeze a small amount (about 1cm) of ointment into the pocket created by your lower eyelid. Be cautious not to touch your eye with the tube tip or any other surface to avoid contamination.

Close Eye and Blink: Close your eye gently and blink a few times to help distribute the ointment evenly across the eye surface.

Repeat if Necessary: If you are treating both eyes, repeat the process for the other eye.

Remove Excess Ointment: Use a clean tissue to wipe away any excess ointment from the eye area.

Wash Hands Again: After application, wash your hands again to ensure proper hygiene.

Dosage Frequency: Follow the recommended dosage and frequency provided in the product packaging or as prescribed by your healthcare professional.

Complete Course: Even if your symptoms improve, it's essential to complete the full course of treatment as prescribed to ensure the infection is completely eradicated.

What should I do if I accidentally miss a dose of the eye ointment?
