How full should the bin be before I seal it?

Stop adding sharps once the bin reaches the fill line marked on the side, or when it is roughly three-quarters full. Overfilling increases the risk of a needle-stick injury when sealing or handling the bin.

How do I dispose of a full sharps bin?

Once sealed, do not place it in your normal household waste. Most local councils offer a sharps collection or drop-off service, and many community pharmacies will accept full bins. Check your local council website or ask our pharmacy team at info@rightangled.com for guidance.

Can I put other types of waste in the sharps bin?

No. Only sharps (needles, pen tips, lancets, scalpel blades) should go in. Other clinical waste such as swabs, dressings or empty vials should be disposed of separately according to local guidelines.

Is it compatible with the pen needles sold on this site?

Yes. The opening accommodates standard pen needles, insulin syringes, lancets and similar small sharps. Simply drop the used needle directly into the bin after use without trying to recap it.
