Calpol Infant Suspension is a strawberry flavoured suspension for children that is sugar free. This medicine will relieve pain and fevers, such as cold and flu, headache toothache, sore throat. This medicine helps to bring down high temperatures and fever as well.

It is suitable for babies and children from 2 months to 6 years.

2. How do you take it?

• Do not take more than 2 doses
• You should not exceed the stated dose.
• You would need to leave at least 4 hours between doses.

3. Who is it suitable for?

• Suitable for babies and children from 2 months to 6 years
• Do not take this medicine if you are taking anything else with paracetamol in it
• Not suitable for anyone who weighs less than 4kg or was born before 37 weeks
• Do not give this medicine to babies under 2 months

4. Possible side effects?

If you notice any of these side effects, you should contact your doctor as soon as possible:
• Skin rash
• Swelling of the face, tongue, or throat
• Tiredness
• Bruising or bleeding

Calpol Infant Suspension provides soothing relief from pain and fever for your children, when they need it most. It starts to work on fever in just 15 minutes but is still gentle on delicate tummies. Calpol Infant Suspension is gentle enough to use from 2 months. Each pack comes with an easy dose syringe.

Calpol Sugar Free Suspension uses the active ingredient, Paracetamol to bring down high temperatures and relieve pain.

It is important to shake the bottle for at least 10 seconds before use.

Child's Age: 2-3 months
Only give if your baby weighs over 4kg and was born after 37 weeks.
Leave at least 4 hours between doses.
Do not give more than 2 doses. This is to ensure that fever that may be due to a serious infection is quickly diagnosed. If your child is still feverish after two doses, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Child's Age: 3 months - 6 years
Do not give more than 4 doses in any 24 hour period.
Leave at least 4 hours between doses.

Do not give this medicine to your child for more than 3 days without speaking to your doctor or pharmacist.

1. About Pain Relief

Pain is an experience everyone will have from time to time in their life. Pain has different levels and can range from a mild knock that hurts for a few moments to excruciating pain you feel when you seriously injure yourself. Chronic pain usually effects those with underlying medical conditions such as arthritis. It also occur because the individual has damage to the nervous system.

3. How can I manage Pain?

Whether your pain is long-term or has just started, the NHS recommends trying the following ten self-help steps. Get some gentle exercise to ease pain as it blocks pain signals to the brain, concentrate on your breathing, read books and leaflets on pain, get counselling to deal with emotions related to pain, distract yourself with another activity, share your story about pain, try to improve your sleep routine, take a self management course, keep in touch with friends and family and relax to beat pain, practicing relaxation techniques can help to reduce persistent pain.
