What is it used for?

Flomax is a medication used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men, which is an enlargement of the prostate gland. It helps alleviate symptoms such as difficulty urinating, urinary dribbling, strong urge to urinate, and frequent urination both day and night.

However, it is important to note that Flomax is not suitable for individuals who experience fainting or dizziness upon suddenly sitting or standing up, those with liver conditions, or those with known allergies to any ingredients in Flomax, including tamsulosin.

Who is it suitable for?

• Not suitable for anyone who suffers from fainting/dizziness when suddenly sitting or standing up
• Not suitable for anyone who suffers from any liver conditions
• Not suitable for anyone who is allergic to any ingredients inside of Flomax, such as tamsulosin

How do you take it?

Tamsulosin is usually taken once a day, 30 minutes after a meal at the same time every day. The medication should be swallowed whole with water and should not be crushed, chewed, or opened. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, but if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. To ensure that the medication remains dry, Flomax Relief should be stored in its original packaging at temperatures below 30°C and out of reach of children. Do not dispose of the medication in normal household waste, but rather consult with a pharmacist on how to safely dispose of it. Finally, do not use the medication beyond its expiry date, which refers to the last day of the stated month.

• Dizziness
• Difficulties with ejaculation, little or no semen ejaculated at sexual climax, cloudy urine following sexual climax.
