DNA Research History

In 1869 a Swiss Researcher by the name of Friedrich Miescher was studying the composition of lymphoid cells (white blood cells). However, by mistake, he isolated for the first time in history (recorded) a new molecule he called nuclein (DNA with associated proteins) from a cell nucleus. This event started a cascade of interest in the scientific community with DNA becoming the protagonist of international scientific interest. In 2003, with the human genome project Miescher finally successfully decoded the whole DNA code for the first time in history. Many recall this moment as more important than the human landing on the moon. The magnitude of this event has shaped the scientific community since this day. With many research projects and new cures being studied based on the human DNA. The human DNA is the sequence of "code" found in every human and life cell which is used by the cell to create and shape proteins which ultimately translate into life, diseases and others. How accurate is the DNA test?

We have partnered with ISO accredited labs that adhere to high standards of quality assurance and quality controls. 

Our gene panel list is assayed through a genotyping technology that uses competitive allele-specific microarray technology, which enables highly accurate bi-allelic scoring of SNPs (99.8% accurate) and indels (insertions and deletions), at specific loci across a wide range of genomic DNA samples. This limits the risk of false-positive and false-negative results.
